The Best Blueberry Pie You'll Ever Eat
As summer draws to a close lets celebrate the coming fall with a sweet summer treat. I am not saying you’ll enjoy this recipe. I am promising it will be the best blueberry pie you’ve ever made!
This recipe came after I realized I had a fridge full of berries leftover from yesterday's tablescape — along with a pie crust that needed to be used. I developed this recipe quickly. I was banking on creating a solid blueberry pie — what resulted was by far the best blueberry pie I have ever had. It is basically a cross between a cobbler and a pie. A perfect mix between sweet and tart.
RECIPE:
1 pie crust
1 pie crust for top
3 to 4 cups fresh blueberries
1 handfull of flour
1 handfull of sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
Cinnamon
The juice of one lemon
Toss all ingredients in a large bowl, coating the blueberries. Add mixture to the unbaked pie shell. Using a biscuit cutter or mason jar cut crust into roads. Arrange the rounds on top of the pie in a decorative fashion. Dust top of the pie with additional cinnamon. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 min or until crust is golden.
