Design: Rural Style

This is our new house. The style isn't country, it isn't modern or urban, instead it is a collection of what I call simply "rural" Its the style of being a locavoire. One of the rules when decorating was to only uses things that were bought in locally owned stores, using handcrafted products whenever possible. You will find very few items from Pottery Barn in this house.. however there are a few as a way of being cost effective. The rule when I decorate is to use 70% vintage and 30% new accessories. I was able to hold pretty tightly to this rule. The home that is being created is one that has a feeling of comfort and has a bit of pretentiousness to it, but only for the best.
